THE PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTE OF MARKETING AND BUSINESS STUDIES LTD. has been established to provide training to two categories of students: 
- A’ level/C.A.P.E. graduates OR HIGHER and 
- Mature working persons
The most important pre-requisite is that the students are willing to learn and upgrade their qualifications

The Professional Institute of Marketing and Business Studies Ltd. (PIMBS Ltd.) has been established to provide business people with professional qualifications and consultancy services in the areas of Marketing, Business and Environmental Studies. The Institute will do more than just teach. It will give its subscribers practical experience in the handling and management of work related matters in the business place, while a candidate may sign up for assisted revision courses for particular examinations.

PIMBS Ltd. was born out of the need for relevant education for our Nation’s youth and current workforce. The emphasis is on QUALITY, GUIDANCE, TUITION and the availability of tools in Information Technology to bring the world of learning to the student.

Our Aims

To provide relevant work related tuition in the area of Marketing, Business Studies and Environmental Sciences. To ensure an adequate amount of field experience which is relevant to the present work environment To assist in the placement of graduates into jobs suitable to their expertise To provide this education at a reasonable cost.

Our Mission

To provide the highest quality of Marketing, Business and Environmental training to members of the Institute by ensuring that the training is relevant, up to date and accepted locally and internationally.

The Professional Institute of Marketing and Business Studies Ltd. has been Accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) for Further and Higher Education as an International Centre. BAC provides the leading mark of educational quality for the sector, which is used by students, parents, agencies and beyond as a guarantee of standards.

Providing Business Experience

Part of the general requirements of being a member of PIMBS Ltd. is the pursuit of some work related project. For the unemployed, the institute provides access to a work center.
The projects may be to implement a project and interact with the human resource; write a report on the issues encountered… or it may involve the development of an information base or conducting market research.
While these projects are not for the particular examination for which you may be reading, it
will provide invaluable experience upon which you can reference at your next job interview.

Providing Corporate Enterprise with Consultancy

Members of the Corporate enterprises can sample the free of charge consultancy services that is otherwise worth a value of $1500.00TT - the equivalent of 2-1/2 hours of consultancy or one 45-minute presentation.

ABOUT OUR LADY OF FATIMA SECONDARY SCHOOL

"The Best Kept Secret in East Trinidad"

There is a private high school located in the East of Trinidad called Our Lady of Fatima High School which has produced many national winners and has contributed to improving the self esteem of many of our nation’s youth.  Established in 1997 as the Professional Institute of Marketing and Business Studies Ltd., the High School changed its name to Our Lady of Fatima High School in 2000.  Its many achievements are as follows:

2002- First term winner of the Guardian School Business Awards Ms. Lezli Voisin.

2003- Second term winner of the Guardian School Business Awards – Mr. Denesh

Panchoo. 
Third term winner of the Guardian School Business Awards – Ms. Hardaye Ramroop.
First term winner of the Guardian School Business Awards – Ms. Rachel – Ann Huggings.

2004- Ms. Alana Salandy graduated from PIMBS Ltd. and went on to graduate from

Berkeley College  Magnum Cum Laude.

2005- Ms. Tracy Newling received a Merit Prize from the CLICO “Put it in Poetry”Contest.

2008- Ms. Tracy Newling placed 1st in Recorder Solo and Guitar Solo in the Trinidad and

Tobago National Music Festival and Ms. Krystal Borris placed 1st in the Pan Solo.

2008- Our Lady of Fatima High School participated in the Royal Bank Young Leaders

Project and did a procession to re-establish Virtues in schools entitled “Bridging the Gap-Virtues for Life”. This was televised by TV 6.

2010- Mr. Amit Maharaj has been called to train with the under 19 National Cricket

Team.

2010- Ms. Shamika Allsop is on the under 16 Trinidad and Tobago National Netball

Team .  

2010- Ms. Tracy Newling came 2nd in Recorder Solo and 3rd in Guitar Solo at the

Trinidad and Tobago National Music Festival.

2010- Mr. Immanuel Lashley (Prime Minister of Brunai) and Ms. Narianne Persad (Prime

Minister of Namibia) represented us at CHOGM.

2010- Mr. Marc Nelson and Ms. Tracy Newling (acting as Parliamentary Representative

for St. Anns East) represented in the 9th National Youth Parliament of Trinidad and
Tobago

 

2011- 2nd Place in Trinidad and Tobago Private Secondary School Football 2K11 Fiesta


2013- Production Series – The Moral of the Story – play themed on issues affecting

youth today.


2015- Production Series – A MidSummer’s Night Dream (Curepe Style) – a local adaption

of the Shakespearian play


2015 and 2017- International Food Fair attended by students of 18 countries

 

2017- Nyleesa Nicome awarded as Regional Prize Winner for CAPE Environmental

Science.

2018- Precious Jack awarded as Regional Prize Winner for CAPE Environmental Science.

The school’s academic strengths lie in both CSEC and CAPE levels, specifically in the subject areas of English, Mathematics, Principles of Business, Economics, Accounts, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, and Music.  It is one of the few schools that teaches Psychology (Cambridge) and Law.  The school recorded a 100% pass rate in most of the subjects pursued in the 2009 CXC examinations.

With a strong faith base, the school encourages students to develop a firm relationship with God. Sports and culture is also important as there is a biannual Sports Day and a Cultural pageant every year.  An active Student Council body ensures that there are many opportunities for students to excel in a small environment that gives emphasis to individual attention.

Graduation

1997 -2004– PIMBS Ltd. was accredited to deliver support to University of Leicester MBA

and M.Sc Marketing and M.Sc Finance Programmes.


1998- Mr. Ramgopaul Roop – farmer Graduated with a Bachelors of Arts. He is now a

consultant to the Government and achieved his MBA from University of Edinburgh Napier in 2016.


1999- Mr. Derek Mundy – visually impaired student Graduated with a Bachelors of Arts

degree. He has been accepted to do his Masters at the University of Leicester.


2000- It is the only institute in Trinidad that has secured a course credit transfer

agreement with a U.S College- therefore allowing students to spend 2 years in Trinidad and 1 final year in the U.S.


2003- 2007- It is the only institute in Trinidad that has been inspected by University

of Cambridge represents and has been approved to carry all its International Diplomas and has been an Associate Partner from 2003-2007.


2004- Ms. Alana Salandy graduated from PIMBS Ltd. and went on to graduate from

Berkeley College Magnum Cum Laude. Granted Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE) for 17 courses by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.


2008- PIMBS Ltd. became one of the first ten (10) tertiary institutions in Trinidad and

Tobago to be registered by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago.


2011- First Citizens Bank granted a Scholarship for Environmental Science students to

pursue their Bachelors in Environmental Science with PIMBS Ltd. PIMBS Ltd. students scored a higher than the International Average Pass rate for all (except two) courses offered by the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) courses.

2013- PIMBS Ltd. awarded the international award of „Best Institute‟ and the title of

"Manager of the Year‟ based on the analytical conclusions of the analytic-information department of the European Business Assembly. Awarded at the Oxford Summit of Leaders, Oxford, UK.

2017- Lakshmi Ramlogan is awarded Top Paper Prize (World Prize) from the Association

of Business Executives in June 2017 for Contemporary Hospitality Management.
